QUALITY STANDARDS

CME can call upon a pool of highly experienced consultants based in the UK who are highly qualified and internationally experienced, having worked extensively in Europe, Asia and Africa delivering programmes funded by the IMF, World Bank, DfID, UNDP and national Governments .They are carefully chosen to ensure quality standards are maintained, including cross-cultural awareness and through a track record of effectiveness.

Prerequisites for employment for our consultants include a minimum of five years consultancy experience with international audiences, a proven ability to conduct in-depth organisational analysis and the ability to prescribe solutions reflecting the reality of the clientís political, economic and social conditions.

They have held senior management posts before taking up management consultancy, are well trained and educated and therefore, bring to their practice a healthy balance of theory and practical work experience which informs their working methodology and subsequent recommendations for change.

Our resource people deliver the training programmes using the very latest techniques and will contribute to delegates’ personal and professional development. We aim to ensure that learning can be a rewarding and an enjoyable experience

We also aim to support the capacity building agenda through developing a pool of local resource people and offering ‘coaching’ opportunities.

Evaluation

Informal feedback is encouraged during programmes to ensure that participants gain maximum benefit. Systematic monitoring and evaluation is undertaken at the end of each programme through participant feedback.

There is follow up after 3-6 months to asses longer term impact which can be linked to an agreed monitoring of an action plan.

This process is consistent with the principles of continuing development and the cycle for improvement. Learning from this process is taken into consideration at the planning stage of future programmes.

Keith M Coulston

I have a long term interest in the Central-Southern African region where I was a teacher in both Zambia and Zimbabwe. Over the years I have followed social, economic and political developments in the region through my friendships and the organisations of which I am a member: Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA), the Britain-Zimbabwe Society, the Zambia Society Trust.

As Managing Director Centre for Management Excellence Ltd I am in a position to become actively involved once again in supporting development within the region and aim to make a contribution to developments within the modernising and reform agenda.

Being a member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD) enables us to work with a diverse range of senior Consultants, some of whom deliver Training/Consultancy to public sector as well as private sector clients within the UK and around the world.
